SHIPPING POLICY
all packages are dispatched from our workplace in Newcastle, Australia using Australia Post's tracking service to the exact address that you have provided at checkout. the sole responsibility for your order becomes that of the shipping agent once your package has been lodged and you are provided a tracking number. Australia Post & we may provide estimated delivery times however these are NOT guaranteed, only predicted.
orders are generally shipped each business day when purchased before 12pm AEDT, or the next business day for orders placed after midday or on the weekend.
all reasonable packaging efforts are made to ensure your package arrives in good order. we use sustainable compostable liners and mailers for our packaging, and include a paper card made with recycled materials in every purchase.

INTERNATIONAL
international shipping cost varies depending on location, and is calculated at checkout. orders over $250 AUD are eligible for free standard international shipping. this discount can be applied at checkout.
all items shipped internationally are done so using the automatic "return to sender" option in the event your package is undeliverable for any reason. this is NO GUARANTEE that your package will actually and/or eventually be returned to us if undelivered. we recommend you ensure that someone is at the delivery address to personally receive your package. we will contact you if an undelivered package is returned to us, where you can then choose to have your package re-shipped to a different address at your own expense.
Customs & Taxes: If you are purchasing from outside of Australia, you may be charged duties and/or taxes by your local authority. These are payable by the receiver, and are not associated with or controlled by Bean By Jess. It is the responsibility of the customer to pay these fees.
RETURNED PARCELS
Return Policy for Unclaimed, or Insufficiently Addressed, Returned Orders:
In the event that an order is returned to us due to an incomplete or incorrect address provided at checkout, or if the package goes unclaimed, we will follow the procedure outlined below:
- Customer Notification: Upon receipt of the returned package, we will notify you via email.
- Shipping Fee Invoice: We will issue you an invoice for the cost of reshipping the package. This invoice must be paid before the order is dispatched again.
- Payment Reminders: If the reshipping invoice is not paid within 48 hours, we will send up to two reminder emails over a period of 5 business days.
- Order Cancellation: Should the invoice remain unpaid or emails unanswered by the third reminder, the order will be considered cancelled, and the items will be returned to inventory and made available for sale. No further correspondence will be entered into.
We strongly advise customers to double-check their shipping details before completing their purchase and to follow the provided package tracking.
